FIFA Deducts 3 Points From South Africa

Nigeria and their African rivals have received a major advantage as FIFA imposed sanctions on South Africa’s 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The global football authority confirmed on Monday that three points and three goals were stripped from Bafana Bafana’s standings.

The disciplinary action comes after South Africa violated regulations by featuring an ineligible player, Teboho Mokoena, during their clash with Lesotho earlier this year.
