Israel Afeare, the trusted logistics manager for Afrobeats icon Davido, is grieving the loss of his beloved father, who passed away at 71.
The news was confirmed by Israel DMW himself during an emotional phone interview with press representatives on Saturday.
He revealed that his father, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Afeare Eric, succumbed to a brief illness on March 2 at a medical facility in Ibadan.
Overwhelmed by grief, Israel described his late father as a guiding force and the foundation of their family, emphasizing how deeply he will be missed.
“Losing my father is incredibly painful. We still needed him here, but God’s plan is supreme,” he lamented.
In a heartfelt tribute, Israel honored his father’s unwavering commitment to maintaining family unity and providing strength through life’s challenges.
“He was my rock and the glue that held our family together,” he shared.
Mr. Afeare Eric, a retired police officer, was widely admired for his dedication to his family and community, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and love.
The late DSP is survived by two wives and eight children, who now mourn his passing while cherishing his memory. Support and condolences have flooded in from fans, friends, and colleagues, offering comfort during this sorrowful period.
