Umuahia, the heartbeat of Abia State, erupted in euphoria as Nigeria’s finest musical talents—Davido, Timaya, KCEE, and highlife icon Bright Chimezie—set the stage ablaze with unforgettable performances, creating a night of pure magic and infectious energy.
The dazzling spectacle, which unfolded at Umuahia Township Stadium on Friday, was masterminded by local business magnate Lucky Igbokwe, commemorating the debut of his twin radio sensations—Don 103.7 FM and Ikoro 93.3 FM.
A sea of ecstatic fans flooded the stadium, turning the capital into a pulsating center of music and jubilation. Yet, Davido and Bright Chimezie stole the show, their electrifying acts sparking wild dance frenzies among the ecstatic crowd.
The energy skyrocketed the moment Davido graced the stage, met with deafening cheers as fans hung on his every note. His rendition of fan-favorite ‘With You’ became an instant highlight, with the audience singing passionately along.
Soon after, the legendary Bright Chimezie ignited the arena with his timeless anthem ‘Because of English,’ unleashing a whirlwind of nostalgia and fervor. The crowd erupted, dancing wildly and chanting along in sheer delight.
The chemistry between the two superstars captivated attendees. Fresh from their recent sighting in Lagos, witnessing them together in Umuahia sent waves of excitement through the crowd. Fans eagerly chanted for a potential collaboration, while others playfully dubbed Davido “our in-law,” nodding to his Igbo roots through his wife, Chioma.
