The beloved Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Sunshine, has been laid to rest in a heartfelt ceremony held in Lagos. Her untimely demise sent shockwaves through the entertainment community.
Reports indicate that Sunshine’s health struggles began after undergoing fibroid surgery late last year. Initial treatment at Orchid General Hospital was hampered by an ongoing doctors’ strike, limiting her care to pain management rather than critical diagnostics.
Her close associate, Chidera Madu, revealed that Sunshine—originally from Nnung Udoe Itak in Akwa Ibom’s Ikono LGA—was later moved to another medical facility on January 2 in hopes of better care, but her condition proved irreversible.
As news of her passing spread, loved ones reached out for public support to cover burial expenses, emphasizing the need for a proper farewell. The memorial proceedings commenced at Lagos Island General Hospital before her body was taken to Atan Cemetery for the final rites.
