Ex-Real Madrid Manager Fabio Capello Names Three Players Who Can Win Award

Ex-Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has named three current Los Blancos players who he thinks could one day claim the Ballon d’Or.

Capello stated that Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, and Jude Bellingham all have the talent to win the prestigious Golden Ball in the coming years.

The trio have stood out since arriving at Real Madrid and have consistently featured in recent Ballon d’Or discussions.

Last season, Vinícius, Bellingham, and Mbappé were all ranked within the top six in the Ballon d’Or final power rankings.

This year, they remain strong contenders for the award once again.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport (via AS, per Madrid Universal), Capello remarked: “Vinícius, Mbappé, and Bellingham are three potential Ballon d’Or winners.”

The winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or will be revealed in September, with competition expected from stars like Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha, Raphinha, and Mohamed Salah.
