Baba Ijesha

Renowned Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has claimed that people exhibit more cruelty than venomous snakes.

He made this statement months after his release from a Lagos correctional facility, where he served a sentence following his conviction on s*xual assault charges filed by comedian Damilola Adekoya, alias Princess.

In 2021, Princess accused Baba Ijesha of molesting her 14-year-old foster daughter at her home, leading to his imprisonment.

The actor regained freedom in November 2025 after completing his five-year term.

Breaking his silence in a viral music video, Baba Ijesha alleged that Princess orchestrated his downfall, urging fans to be wary of deceitful friendships.

He recounted how Princess, once a close confidante, allegedly lured him into a trap under the guise of a movie role and a home-cooked meal.

He narrated, “Betrayal landed me in Kirikiri. A woman I trusted plotted my downfall, silencing my voice. Hear my truth.

“On April 21, 2021, Princess—now revealed as deceitful—invited me over, promising my favorite meal: pounded yam with egusi and bush meat. Little did I know it was a setup.

“She pitched a movie role, insisting I play a younger character to ‘elevate’ my career. Instead, it led me to prison. The real culprit walks free while an innocent man suffers.

“Beware of false friends. Humanity’s cruelty surpasses even the deadliest serpents.”
