Anthony Joshua

British-Nigerian boxing sensation Anthony Joshua has declared that his storied rivalry with Tyson Fury is closer than ever to becoming a reality, stating the blockbuster all-British bout is finally “within reach.”

Speaking to Marca, the two-time heavyweight champion claimed Fury has exhausted all escape routes and must now step into the ring with him.

“It’s absolutely within reach, more so now than before. He’s out of options—this fight is inevitable,”
Joshua emphasized.

Joshua’s remarks follow recent comments from Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, who disclosed that the Gypsy King is more focused on a trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk rather than settling his long-standing feud with Joshua.

“His priority remains another crack at Usyk—that’s the fight he truly wants,”
Warren revealed in an October interview.

Fury, who flirted with retirement earlier this year, suffered back-to-back decision losses to Usyk—marking the only setbacks in an otherwise unbeaten career.

The Fury-Joshua showdown has been years in the making, with previous negotiations crumbling multiple times, leaving boxing enthusiasts waiting in frustration.

At 35, Joshua is determined to cement his legacy by claiming the heavyweight throne once more, eyeing Muhammad Ali’s iconic three-time champion status—with Fury standing between him and history.

With time ticking, Joshua appears ready to finally settle the score.

“I’ve always believed it’s about timing, not chance,”
he added, signaling that one of boxing’s greatest rivalries may soon reach its climax.
