Star actress Etinosa Idemudia has responded to Big Brother Naija alum Uriel Oputa regarding recent comments about her late uncle, veteran actor Fabian Adibe.

 

The dispute arose after Uriel criticized fellow entertainers for neglecting Adibe before his passing, despite their outpourings of grief.

 

Adibe succumbed to illness on August 20, 2025, sparking emotional tributes across social media.

 

Uriel lamented the lack of support during her uncle’s final days, thanking only those who stood by him.

 

Clapping back on Instagram, Etinosa defended mourners’ rights to express sorrow, whether or not they reached out during Adibe’s illness.

  

Her post read: “While everyone grieves differently, it’s unfair to accuse people of insincerity. Colleagues and fans have every right to mourn—his absence touches us all. No one lives perfectly; even your uncle didn’t constantly check on others when well. Let’s honor his memory without bitterness. People face silent struggles—spread kindness, not accusations.
