Eric Chelle

Eric Chelle, head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, is demanding a significant salary increase, pushing for a new deal worth $130,000 per month.

Currently earning $50,000 monthly from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Chelle has switched agents amid rumors linking him to French club Marseille.

Contrary to earlier reports of $100,000, insider Shina Oludare of FlashScore reveals that the proposed $130,000 covers his entire technical team, including his personal assistant.

The Malian gaffer has also outlined additional requirements: a chauffeur-driven SUV, a secured residence with 24/7 electricity, a fully equipped office with a projector for tactical analysis, and guaranteed business-class flights for his wife and economy tickets for his children.

Chelle insists on complete autonomy in selecting friendly matches, organizing training camps, and overseeing youth development programs. He also wants the freedom to scout players abroad and monitor domestic leagues to identify talents for Nigeria’s senior, U23, U20, and U17 squads.

A key condition is zero interference from the NFF in team selection and squad call-ups. His contract demands stipulate timely salary payments by the 30th of each month, performance bonuses per federation policy, and inclusion of his PA in the bonus structure.

“The $130,000 monthly package encompasses all technical staff and my personal assistant,” Chelle stated. “I also expect regular meetings with all national team coaches to align strategies.”
