Afrobeat star Seun Kuti has sparked controversy by alleging that Wizkid copied his nickname without permission.
The dispute arose after a fan suggested Kuti drop his “Big Bird” moniker since Wizkid also uses a similar tag, “Biggest Bird.”
In an explosive live session, Kuti fired back, insisting the nickname was his first and demanding authenticity from Wizkid.
“Wizkid took my alias. Tell your idol to find his own identity. Why pressure me to rebrand when I pioneered this? It’s non-negotiable.
“I’ve carried this name for years—long before anyone else. This isn’t up for debate,” he declared.
