Nigerian music sensation Iyanya recently opened up about his challenges with maintaining celibacy, confessing that his commitment wavers when faced with alluring women.
During a frank discussion on the Afropolitan podcast, the artist behind hits like ‘Ur Waist’ shared that breaking his celibacy often leads to remorse, though sticking to it proves difficult.
“Celibacy is a journey with highs and lows for me. There are moments when I’m dedicated, but then I meet someone who makes me reconsider. Afterward, I find myself longing for that discipline again,” he revealed.
The 39-year-old performer also stated that marriage isn’t on his radar at the moment, emphasizing his need for personal growth.
“Marriage isn’t a priority right now. I’ve learned to be transparent upfront—when I meet someone, I’m clear about my boundaries. I tell them, ‘I’m focusing on myself, so don’t expect too much.’
“In the past, I might have played along, but honesty has become my guiding principle. I won’t deceive anyone or toy with their feelings,” he added.
