The widely circulated footage shows Egungun engaging in a quick exchange with the international content creator during a chaotic public appearance filled with excited fans.
In the clip, Egungun inquires about IShowSpeed’s age before expressing astonishment at the streamer’s youthful appearance, noting his robust physique despite being just 21.
The snippet ignited heated debates across various social platforms, with netizens divided in their interpretations of the interaction.
Responding to critics, Egungun clarified via his social media that the high-pressure environment—marked by massive crowds and tight security—affected his composure during the spontaneous meeting.
His post read: “Abeg no vex, tension full ground.”
IShowSpeed’s Nigerian visit attracted unprecedented fanfare, with security personnel struggling to manage the overwhelming turnout while local creators competed for moments with the global star.
