The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a warrant for the arrest of its ex-employee, Olakunle Alex Folarin.

This action follows his participation in an online dating show organized by content creator Lege Miami.

Folarin drew attention after viewers recognized him as a former EFCC operative during his appearance on Lege Miami’s TikTok live dating segment.

The clip reportedly gained widespread circulation, prompting public inquiries directed at the anti-corruption body.

In an official statement shared on its X platform Monday, the EFCC clarified that Folarin had been terminated previously for falsifying academic credentials.

“The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission strongly denounces the participation of ex-staff member Olakunle Alex Folarin in a matchmaking show broadcasted on Lege Miami’s digital platforms.

“Folarin was discharged from service after being found guilty of certificate fraud. He previously served as a driver at the EFCC’s Ibadan regional office.

“EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has authorized his apprehension for retaining agency property, including an identification card that should have been surrendered upon termination.

“The public is cautioned against linking Folarin’s current activities with the EFCC,” the release stated.
