Renowned British artist Ed Sheeran, a multiple Grammy Award winner, has revealed his decision to pause his music career temporarily after concluding his ongoing LOOP tour to prioritize family life.
The chart-topping musician, best known for hits like “Shape of You,” made the announcement on June 13, 2026, during the inaugural show of his tour in Glendale, Arizona.
Addressing the crowd, Sheeran—who shares two daughters with his wife, Cherry Seaborn—expressed his desire to dedicate more time to his young family once the tour concludes. He assured fans of his eventual return while thanking them for their unwavering support.
This marks another chapter in Sheeran’s pattern of balancing fame with personal life, having previously taken hiatuses in 2015 and between 2019-2021 following his record-breaking Divide tour.
