Nigerian music sensation Flavour recently opened up about a deeply personal struggle—his battle with compulsive masturbation—during a candid conversation with friends.

The award-winning artist revealed that the habit took hold after losing his virginity and losing touch with his first sexual partner. Left without intimacy, he turned to self-pleasure, which spiraled into addiction after a friend introduced him to provocative Mapouka dance videos from Congo.

Flavour confessed the addiction dominated his life for nearly two years, growing so severe that he avoided social interactions—even skipping casual gatherings like football viewings out of shame.

In a shocking admission, he shared desperate measures he took, including using liquid soap as a substitute during his lowest moments.

Seeking help, Flavour first approached his mother’s pastor, a counseling specialist. Though prescribed a 21-day prayer fast, the singer relapsed within days. His breakthrough came when a bandmate suggested youthful hormones and sexual deprivation were fueling the habit.

The solution? The bassist reportedly escorted Flavour to a brothel and funded his encounter. This began a pattern where Flavour channeled his music earnings into weekly brothel visits—a controversial approach he credits with breaking the addiction’s hold.
