Nollywood star Doyin Kukoyi has addressed widespread claims that she is romantically involved with veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, famously known as Ogogo.
During a chat on Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube platform, she revealed that the assumption stemmed from an on-set photo where the duo portrayed a married couple for a film.
She mentioned that posting the snapshot led many to believe it mirrored reality, fueling ongoing speculation.
Her words: “Ogogo and I were cast as spouses in a film where our on-screen daughter’s wedding was featured.
“After sharing a casual snapshot from the set, discussions erupted, insisting we were an actual couple. Even now, some fans remain convinced we’re married.
“Truth is, I snapped the pic simply because I admire him.”
She also reflected on her decades-long Nollywood journey, recalling her early days at Daar Communications.
Rumors linking her romantically to Ogogo first gained traction in 2022 after she jokingly called him her “husband” in a lighthearted online post.
