Renowned Nigerian music mogul Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has publicly called out an impersonator on the platform 𝕏.
The counterfeit account duped unsuspecting fans by advertising a fake giveaway while posing as the Mavin Records boss.
The authentic Don Jazzy confronted the impersonator via his verified social media handle, urging them to cease misrepresenting his identity.
He emphasized that any charitable efforts should be conducted transparently under the impersonator’s actual details.
Issuing a stern warning, he cautioned against potential legal consequences for deceptive online activities.
His post read: “Good evening. Aren’t you aware how suspicious it appears to use my name and photo like this?
“Organize your giveaways lawfully—with your real name and picture—if helping people is truly your goal.
“Don’t play victim if authorities intervene. This is a friendly warning.”
