Renowned Nigerian DJ Kudirat Gbemisola, widely recognized as DJ Kulet, has opened up about her harrowing experience of being sexually abused by a relative during her childhood.
Kulet shared the disturbing details in a candid conversation on the Talk to B show hosted by actress Biola Adebayo.
Recalling her troubled past, she revealed that while her mother took her for spiritual rituals to curb her habit of stealing, she endured further abuse at some of these locations.
Breaking years of silence, the DJ admitted she was unable to speak out for a long time after suffering molestation at the hands of a family member.
“During my childhood, while undergoing spiritual cleansing, I was abused in some of those places. A relative molested me, and fear kept me silent for years. My marriage collapsed just two days after the wedding.
“I was heartbroken from the second day, yet I stayed for eight months. I later discovered I was pregnant amid the turmoil—my second pregnancy in that marriage.”
The entertainer publicly ended her marriage to Ohis Emmanuel in December 2024, accusing him of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
