A shocking video of a man identifying himself as “DJ Young” has sparked outrage after he accused officers from the Ebrumede Division, Warri Area Command, of theft. The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has swiftly ordered a probe into the allegations.
In the widely circulated clip, DJ Young recounted a chaotic scene at a party where police officers raided the venue. According to him, guests fled in panic to avoid arrest, while his girlfriend—a POS operator—dropped a bundle of N200,000 during the commotion.
He alleged that he pointed out the cash to the officers, who seized it, promising to return it after verification. However, when his girlfriend arrived to claim the money, things took a violent turn. Instead of handing it over, the officers reportedly assaulted DJ Young, detained him overnight, and later refused to release the confiscated funds.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, issued a stern statement affirming the Commissioner’s zero-tolerance for misconduct. An immediate investigation has been launched, and DJ Young has been urged to contact the Complaint Response Unit via dedicated hotlines: 09155570008 or 09011112311.
