Afrobeats sensation Magixx has ignited a social media storm after sharing his candid opinions on dating expenses during a lively discussion on Cool FM.
The Mavin Records artist firmly believes that financially stable men should willingly foot the bill during dates, irrespective of who initiated the outing.
Magixx emphasized that when a prosperous man plans a date, he should automatically expect to cover all expenses as a matter of principle and respect.
Taking his stance further, the “Selense” crooner maintained that even when women extend the invitation, affluent men should still offer to pay, noting that chivalry shouldn’t depend on who asked whom out.
He supported his argument with personal anecdotes, revealing that he frequently picks up the tab at nightclubs, even when attending as a guest rather than the host.
When challenged about whether he’d maintain this perspective if he weren’t financially secure, the singer broke into laughter while admitting his viewpoint might be more flexible under different circumstances.
