Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, better known as Davido, recently shared that his relentless drive for the entertainment industry would have led him to success even if his music career hadn’t taken off.

In a candid interview, the hitmaker revealed his deep-rooted passion for show business, suggesting he would have explored entrepreneurship by managing a record label or media platform. His love for the entertainment world, he noted, would have fueled his ambitions regardless of his career path.

The superstar admitted that while he could have worked in his billionaire father’s corporate empire, his heart would have inevitably pulled him into the music business—whether as an artist or behind the scenes as an executive.

With a degree in Business Management under his belt, Davido humorously pointed out that he could easily transition into the corporate world if needed, quipping that his résumé is bank-worthy—both figuratively and literally.

Since breaking into the limelight in 2012 with his explosive hit “Dami Duro,” Davido has solidified his position as a global icon, earning Grammy nominations and dominating charts worldwide.
