Afrobeats superstar Davido has publicly refuted paternity claims made by a teenage girl named Anu, dismissing her allegations as false and manipulative.
In a fiery social media response, the award-winning artist denied any biological connection to Anu while accusing her mother of fabricating the claims out of obsession.
The controversy erupted after Anu took to Instagram demanding a paternity test, sharing an emotional post detailing years of bullying over her claims of being Davido’s daughter.
Her lengthy caption read: “As I enter my teenage years, I need closure about my identity. Since childhood, I’ve endured cruel taunts from classmates who mocked my claims of being Davido’s child. The psychological toll led me to seek professional counseling during some of my darkest days.”
“Despite maintaining academic excellence and leadership roles in school, the constant doubt about my paternity has weighed heavily on me. Now as a secondary school student, I’m formally requesting Mr. David Adeleke to consent to a DNA test – not for publicity, but for personal clarity as I mature into adulthood.”
Davido responded with vehement denials, asserting he had already undergone multiple DNA tests that disproved any relationship. The musician expressed exasperation at repeated claims, revealing all five conducted tests (three at his preferred facilities and two chosen by Anu’s family) returned negative results.
“STOP THIS CHARADE! FIVE separate medical tests confirm I’m NOT your father,” Davido blasted. “This goes beyond harassment – it’s psychological manipulation of a child by her obsessed mother who I’ve never even met outside testing centers. I have actual children who don’t deserve this ongoing spectacle.”
The “Unavailable” crooner hinted at potential legal repercussions, threatening to pursue charges against Anu’s mother for alleged defamation and emotional distress. His scathing conclusion warned: “This ends now. After five professional DNA results, any continued claims constitute defamation. That woman belongs in jail for exploiting her child like this.”
