Afrobeat superstar Davido has announced that award-winning producer Cobhams Asuquo will helm the music direction for his highly anticipated “5ive Alive” global tour.
The singer dropped the exciting news in a candid Instagram video, sparking massive anticipation among fans.
Spanning nearly 20 iconic venues across the globe, the tour promises electrifying performances from the chart-topping artist.
Davido shared: “Cobhams is the genius behind the ‘5ive Alive’ tour’s musical magic. With almost 20 arenas on the lineup, this is going to be epic.
“Hearing his work for the first time today left me speechless. Now, it’s rehearsal time—let’s make history!”
The singer’s latest album, “5ive,” dropped on April 18 and showcases an eclectic mix of global heavyweights, from Jamaica’s 450 and Shensea to South Africa’s Musa Keys and U.S. icons Chris Brown and Becky G.
With 17 dynamic tracks including fan favorites like “5ive,” “Anything,” “Be There Still,” and “Holy Water,” the album is a genre-blending masterpiece.
Nigerian stars Victony, Odumodublvck, Chike, and Omah Lay also bring their fiery verses to the project.
