Afrobeats superstar Davido has fired back after APC leader Hon. Timothy Owoeye publicly rejected any political alliance with the Adeleke family, declaring the ruling party’s ticket “not for sale.”
The controversy erupted following Davido’s recent visit to President Bola Tinubu alongside his father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke and uncle Governor Ademola Adeleke.
In a fiery response to Owoeye’s viral remarks, Davido sarcastically referenced an old viral video of the politician, tweeting: “No be this guy naked for bush?” His cousin Bred joined in with laughing emojis.
The political drama unfolded during Owoeye’s press conference in Osogbo, where the former Osun State House Speaker made his stance crystal clear:
“The APC governorship ticket will never be sold to the Adeleke family,” Owoeye declared. “Governor Ademola Adeleke isn’t welcome in our party today or ever.”
Owoeye went on to claim that Governor Adeleke’s rumored interest in joining APC stems from “fear of the unknown,” boldly predicting:
“By August 8, 2026, we’ll chase PDP out of Osun State. There’s absolutely no room for Adeleke or his party in APC.”
The political heavyweight didn’t stop there, asserting that PDP only gained power in Osun through “brigandage” after the 2022 and 2023 elections.
