Music superstar Davido has openly criticized Gboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, describing his political moves as futile and disgraceful.

Taking to social media on Tuesday morning, Davido condemned Oyetola—formerly Osun State’s governor—as an overly ambitious politician, vowing that his alleged scheming would ultimately collapse.

While Davido did not delve into the exact details behind his claims, his comments coincide with heightened political friction in Osun State as preparations intensify for the August 15, 2026, governorship elections.

Earlier this month, the singer disclosed plans to step back from music for two months to fully support the re-election campaign of his uncle, incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.
