Cubana Chief Priest

Nigerian celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, famously known as Cubana Chief Priest, has suggested that Davido’s consecutive Grammy losses stem from a calculated attempt by industry elites to coerce the artist into adopting what he labels as “unholy” Western music industry standards.

The Afrobeats star missed out on the Best African Music Performance award at the 2026 Grammys, losing to South Africa’s rising sensation Tyla.

Taking to Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest rallied behind Davido, advising him to stay true to his principles and resist pressures from what he perceives as manipulative foreign influences.

He motivated the singer to bounce back swiftly, emphasizing that his musical legacy remains unshaken.

His post read, “The West will test your resolve, trying to bend you toward their dark agendas—but never yield.

“Stay strong, king. Drop another hit and keep the vibes flowing. The music never stops.”
