Afrobeat sensation Davido (David Adeleke) has publicly condemned the legal counsel representing Sophia Momodu, the mother of his first child, following a heated courtroom clash over the joint custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Tensions flared when Sophia’s attorney insinuated Davido’s alleged inability to safeguard Imade, citing the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in October 2022.
Heartbroken by the personal attack, the “Unavailable” crooner reportedly lashed out at the lawyer during proceedings, triggering a temporary adjournment.
When the court resumed, the presiding judge demanded an apology from Davido, who defiantly refused, stating he would never apologize for defending his late son’s memory.
Post-hearing, Davido unleashed a fiery social media tirade, lambasting the attorney’s courtroom conduct as unethical and heartless.
The father of three expressed disgust that legal discussions descended into exploiting family tragedy, calling the move cruel given his ongoing grief.
Labelling the counsel “the worst lawyer ever,” Davido boasted of outmaneuvering her legally while condemning her apparent courtroom smirk.
His scathing Instagram post read: “@belachukwu I exposed your professional incompetence today. While educating you on legal ethics, you crumbled and weaponized my son’s memory… As I stated in court, may you never endure our pain. Your cruel demeanor and smirking reveal your wickedness. Legally and morally, I defeated you – an embarrassment to the legal profession.”
