Nigerian reality TV sensation Phyna has revealed that she is being held in custody following a chaotic altercation at Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa, Abuja.
In a series of Instagram stories, the Big Brother Naija winner alleged that the hotel demanded ₦3.5 million for property damages and detained her after she refused to pay.
Phyna stated that the clash erupted when acquaintances of hers stormed the hotel, leading to a violent confrontation inside her room and causing significant destruction.
She further claimed that despite clear security protocols, these individuals were permitted entry through the hotel’s main gate and reception before forcing their way into her room.
Requesting CCTV footage to verify the sequence of events, Phyna accused the hotel of withholding evidence and frustrating her efforts to clear her name.
Expressing frustration, she alleged negligence on the part of Dalchifit Hotel, insisting they failed to protect her despite her status as a guest.
In her words: “Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa allowed thugs to enter, attack me, and now demands I pay ₦3.5 million for damages—locking me up until Monday. I’m in detention right now.
“All because I’m Phyna, I’m being punished by a hotel that failed to secure its premises.
“This hotel let intruders walk through their gates, past reception, and break down my door—even revealing my room number. Unbelievable. 2025 is determined to test me.
“@dalchifitsuiteshotel refuses to provide CCTV footage despite my request, yet they’re ready to detain me. The police and Dalchifit are complicit in this injustice. Gwarinpa Police Station.”
