Hon. Kingsley Mbia, former Deputy Chairman of Boki LGA, swiftly mediated the tense standoff, emphasizing Nigeria’s territorial integrity while negotiating a peaceful withdrawal of the foreign forces.

This marks the third such incident since 2017, with analysts attributing the pattern to spillover effects from Cameroon’s Anglophone separatist movement.

The restive border region continues to shelter displaced persons fleeing the protracted conflict in Cameroon’s Southwest Region.
