The General Overseer of Encounter Jesus Ministry International, Apostle Michael Orokpo, has strongly condemned controversial internet personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan (VDM), for mocking fellow cleric Apostle Arome Osayi on social media.
Sources indicate that VDM shared a video on his platform, ridiculing Osayi’s facial paralysis while mimicking his expression—a response to the preacher’s sermon urging spiritual revival as Nigeria’s solution.
VDM questioned why Osayi advocated prayer over practical solutions like industrialization and sarcastically suggested the cleric could receive medical treatment in China—a nation he claimed prioritizes development over divine intervention.
Orokpo countered that VDM lacks the moral authority to dictate Nigeria’s path, emphasizing that divine purpose, not personal intellect, grants influence. He warned that disparaging others’ physical challenges exposes flawed character.
He stressed that genuine leadership requires integrity, asserting that mocking vulnerabilities contradicts the wisdom of faith. Orokpo reiterated that those guiding society must embody respect and righteousness.
