A Lagos State High Court in Ikeja has issued a restraining order against Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, social media personality Martins Vincent Otse (aka VDM), and Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel, prohibiting them from posting videos or images of Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation International, across any digital or traditional media platforms.
Presiding Judge Akintunde Savage delivered the interim injunction on Thursday, additionally forbidding the defendants from making any written or verbal references to Pastor Okafor or his ministry until the resolution of the defamation lawsuit filed by the clergyman.
The court further prohibited the trio from disseminating any materials allegedly designed to extort funds or tarnish the claimant’s reputation, pending the final judgment in the case.
Filed under suit number ID/14399GCMW/2026, Pastor Okafor is the plaintiff, while Ogala, Otse, and Emmanuel are named as the first, second, and third defendants, respectively.
The ex parte motion was submitted under Order 43, Rules 1, 2, and 7 of the Lagos State High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019, invoking the court’s inherent authority.
Ruling on the application presented by Okafor’s legal representative, Ife Ajayi, Justice Savage also restricted the defendants from sharing any private communications—including text exchanges, photographs, or video recordings—involving the claimant.
The judge additionally authorized substituted service of court documents, permitting notification via publication in a widely circulated newspaper.
The case has been scheduled for further proceedings on February 2, 2026.
