A viral video has ignited fury after an airport official was filmed allegedly attacking a young man who posed for photos near the helicopter that transported Afrobeats star Asake to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on December 22.
The footage captures the excited fan taking pictures beside the parked aircraft before being confronted by security personnel.
Initially, one officer warned the man to step away from the restricted area. The individual, appearing apologetic, pleaded for forgiveness before resuming his photos.
Moments later, a second official aggressively charged at him, delivering a kick and a slap for allegedly violating security protocols.
The clip has triggered widespread condemnation, with social media users demanding accountability for the officer’s excessive use of force.
