Well-known skit maker Deacon Famous has publicly apologized to celebrated fashion designer Veekee James in a heartfelt message.
The comedian shared his sincere regrets via an Instagram post, coinciding with Veekee’s milestone 30th birthday celebration.
Amid the glitz and glamour of Veekee’s high-profile birthday bash, Deacon Famous openly admitted his past mistake—a controversial joke made about her grand wedding to Femi Atere last year.
In his apology, he acknowledged the insensitivity of his earlier comments, describing them as poorly executed dark humor.
“Happy 30th Birthday, Veekee James! I owe you a deep apology—my joke crossed the line, and I fully own up to that. Though it was never meant maliciously, I now see how my words hurt you.
“On your special day, I hope we can move forward, leaving behind any negativity. I pray for endless blessings in your life, a strong marriage, and lasting happiness. Remember, my intentions were never ill—may God’s peace always surround you. Welcome to the 3rd floor, Veekee!” he wrote.
