Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Samuel Perry, widely recognized as Broda Shaggi, has finally addressed fans months after reports surfaced that he was injured in a shooting incident during a film shoot in Ogun State.
The incident allegedly occurred in March near the Sango-Ota Bridge, where Broda Shaggi was reportedly struck while on set.
Following the incident, he was rushed to a medical facility in Alakuko, Lagos, before being moved to a specialized hospital in Ikeja for further treatment.
Since then, the beloved skit maker has maintained a low profile, sparking widespread concern among his followers eager for updates on his recovery.
Breaking his silence, Broda Shaggi recently shared a heartfelt message on his WhatsApp channel, expressing deep gratitude to his supporters for standing by him during his hiatus.
He acknowledged that while he hasn’t been as active as he’d like, the unwavering encouragement from fans has been a source of strength during what he described as a challenging period.
“To all of you who’ve stayed, reached out, shown love, and kept faith in me despite my silence—thank you,” he wrote.
Though he refrained from divulging details about his ordeal, Broda Shaggi reassured fans that their loyalty hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“I wish I could share everything now, but the time isn’t right. Soon,” he teased.
Hinting at a potential return, the comedian promised a powerful comeback, vowing to reconnect with his audience stronger than ever.
“When that day comes, I’ll be back—better, bolder, and ready to give you all my best,” he declared.
Closing his message, Broda Shaggi extended another heartfelt appreciation to his dedicated supporters.
