Celebrity filmmaker Habiba Sinare recently took to social media to expose an awkward situation involving her close friend’s spouse. According to her post, the man’s behavior took a peculiar turn after she witnessed him dining with another woman.
Habiba, who is wed to a Nigerian, recounted the bizarre events in a Facebook update.
“After spotting my dear friend’s husband at a restaurant with another lady, I simply greeted him politely—normal courtesy, right?” she narrated.
“But ever since that day, this man has weirdly promoted me to ‘bestie’ status. Every time he sees me, he screams, ‘Heyyy bestiee is here!’ or ‘Bestiee, why don’t you check up on me anymore?’ followed by an exaggerated, never-ending laugh.”
“Now he insists on joining every lunch, brunch, or dinner I have with his wife. What’s his deal? Is this overcompensation for being caught red-handed?”
“Someone decode this forced ‘bestie’ act for me—I’m done with the awkwardness.”
