Renowned Nollywood icon Chiwetalu Agu has slammed baseless claims circulating about his alleged demise.
Setting the record straight, he emphatically declared that he is alive and well.
In a candid Instagram video shared on Friday, the actor called on his followers and loved ones to dismiss the fabricated stories.
“To my dear fans and family, pay no attention to these falsehoods. Report the account spreading these lies—I’m thriving by God’s mercy,” he asserted.
With unwavering confidence, Agu introduced himself in the clip, stating, “Chief Chiwetalu Agu, the revered Okenmiri n’ezoru Oha 1 of Etiti Amokwe, Enugu State, isn’t leaving this world anytime soon.
“Those who dig graves for others will fall into their own traps. I still have grandchildren to cradle—and I’ll do so in robust health when the time comes.”
He added that had a prominent influencer propagated the hoax, he would have pursued legal recourse.
“Had a top blogger spread this nonsense, I’d have sued for defamation and damages. But the culprit is still begging for engagement—pathetic,” he quipped.
