Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo met with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday.
The encounter precedes a youth football tournament organized in his honor, set to take place Wednesday at Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
Adarabioyo, visiting Nigeria, engaged with Sanwo-Olu as part of his return to his roots.
After their meeting, the governor shared his admiration for the 27-year-old athlete on Instagram.
“Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo dropped by during his Nigerian trip,” Sanwo-Olu remarked.
“It’s uplifting to connect with young Nigerians excelling globally while staying humble and rooted in their homeland.”

The defender contributed to Chelsea’s victory in the revamped FIFA Club World Cup held recently in the United States.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Adarabioyo represented England at various youth levels but has yet to debut for the senior national squad.
