Charles Oputa, the popular Nigerian musician and activist widely known as Charly Boy, has issued a stark warning, stating that the nation’s economic struggles will escalate if Bola Tinubu secures re-election in 2027.
Taking to his Facebook page, Charly Boy expressed grave concerns, asserting that under another Tinubu term, Nigerians would face unbearable suffering. He urged citizens not to be swayed by short-term handouts from political campaigns.
In his post, he emphasized: “Nigerian youth, what’s our strategy for 2027 if Tinubu rigs his way back? His return will unleash hell—people will perish under worsening conditions.
“The future suffering will be unimaginable. We must resist trading our votes for temporary relief.”
A vocal supporter of Labour Party’s Peter Obi in the last election, Charly Boy continues to advocate for political accountability and economic reform.
