Charly Boy

Nigerian music legend and social critic Charles Oputa, famously known as Charly Boy or Area Fada, has expressed frustration over women who persistently flood his inbox with romantic propositions.

Despite publicly acknowledging his marital commitment and openly discussing how his prostate cancer treatment impacted his masculinity, the entertainer says admirers won’t stop pushing for a relationship.

He posted a photo compilation featuring himself and his wife, captioned: “Honestly, miracles never cease.

“Even after I openly declared my… situation post-surgery, women keep harassing me, proposing marriage.

“They know I’m happily married and devoted to my wife. I’m not rich. I’m not particularly handsome. Yet, they refuse to let me be.

“Recently, one woman sent me a gift—10ml of ‘something’—claiming it was for my charity work (Charlyboy Foundation for Men). When I asked why, she insisted there were no strings.

“Fellas, I’m lost here. Yes, I had my wild days—my wife has the receipts—but I’ve been reformed for nearly 40 years.

“Then some woman from London flies to Nigeria, files a police report, alleges I swindled ₦45 million after she ‘took care of me.’ Absolute nonsense!

“Ladies, give me peace. Push me, and I’ll snap.

“Stop testing my patience.

“My equipment is retired. Leave me the hell alone.”
