Reality TV sensation and social media powerhouse Tacha fired back at detractors on Twitter following heated debates over a buzzing video featuring influencer Asherkine and an alleged female admirer.
A young woman named Becky stirred controversy after declaring she had never dated anyone—a remark allegedly made to catch Asherkine’s attention.
Her statement was swiftly contested by a man claiming to be her ex, who shared screenshots of conversations where Becky supposedly lied about visiting her mother to conceal her meetup with Asherkine.
Becky vehemently refuted the allegations, stressing that the name tied to the scandal isn’t even hers and insisting she has no romantic history.
“I don’t know who this guy is,” she asserted, doubling down with, “I stand by my words—I’ve never been in a relationship.”
Tasha waded into the drama in an Instagram rant, likening online bullies to the meddlesome relatives African parents once cautioned against: “They’ve left the village and migrated to Twitter Nigeria.”
She blasted netizens for weaponizing an innocent clip, spinning false narratives and doctored messages just to vilify the woman in the video.
The ex-BBNaija housemate attributed the uproar to a toxic mindset, stating, “Nigerian men stereotype women as gold diggers,” which fueled the rush to believe unfounded rumors.
She advised Becky to pursue legal recourse and pleaded with the public to quit using social media as a battleground for pettiness.
“The digital age has given the village gossip a megaphone—Twitter influencers, bloggers, you name it,” Tacha remarked.
