Rev. Sr. Anastasia Kinse, a former Catholic nun dismissed from the Auchi Diocese, has come forward with allegations of s3xual harassment by a priest, claiming to possess undisclosed evidence.
During an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’, she explained why she has chosen not to publicly release the proof at this time.
Anastasia, previously affiliated with Veritas University in Abuja, stated that her dismissal stemmed from her efforts to expose alleged misconduct within the Church.
“People demand evidence, but in our current reality, speaking out openly with names carries risks,” she remarked.
“I do have recordings—both video and audio—documenting harassment by the Veritas HOD, but I’m unable to disclose them now.”
“Since joining the congregation in 2015, I’ve faced recurring issues, which I reported to my superiors. Instead of action, I was labeled a complainer.”
“One incident involved a priest attempting inappropriate contact in his room. My superior dismissed it. Another pressured me to accompany him to his parish.”
“The final blow came when a priest used measuring my waist as pretext for inappropriate touching. The trauma from these experiences was wrongfully deemed ‘madness’ by those meant to protect me.”
