Manchester United’s Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has openly endorsed a surprising choice for the club’s next permanent manager.

During an exclusive ESPN interview, the veteran star, set to exit Old Trafford this summer, shared his unexpected pick.

When questioned about potential replacements for Ruben Amorim, Casemiro pointed to interim boss Michael Carrick without hesitation.

“Carrick embodies everything Manchester United needs right now,” declared the five-time Champions League winner.

“His tactical understanding and connection to the club’s DNA make him the ideal choice. The board would be wise to give him full backing,” the midfield maestro added emphatically.

Following Amorim’s abrupt dismissal, Carrick currently holds the reins as caretaker manager for the remainder of the season.
