Nigerian entertainer Oderhohwo Efe, famed as Carter Efe, has officially claimed the title of Africa’s top Twitch streamer, surpassing previous record-holder Shank Comics.
The surge in followers came after a groundbreaking live session featuring Afrobeats sensation Davido, propelling Efe’s channel to unprecedented heights. Currently, his follower count exceeds 406,000—a massive leap from his earlier 322,000.
Shank Comics, the previous record holder, trails with around 233,000 followers, reinforcing Efe’s dominance on the platform.
Beyond just numbers, Efe also set a new benchmark for African viewership, attracting over 83,000 live viewers—making it the most-watched stream on the continent. He further etched his name in history by becoming the first African creator to amass 20,000 subscribers on Twitch.
