Internet personality Carter Efe has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging Afrobeats superstar Wizkid to a high-profile boxing showdown.
The controversial content creator made his bold declaration during a live session alongside music duo Kcee and E-Money, claiming he’s ready to defend his self-proclaimed title as Nigeria’s celebrity boxing king.
In a surprising twist, Efe demanded Wizkid’s eldest son, Boluwatife Balogun, be ringside to witness the potential clash. “I’m calling out Wizkid today – come prove you’re champion material by taking my belt,” Efe challenged during the stream. “And make sure Boluwatife is there to watch everything.”
This isn’t the first friction between the entertainers – tensions trace back to when Efe released his Wizkid-inspired track “Manchala” and felt snubbed by the Grammy winner’s lack of public support.
While Efe has frequently taken jabs at the “Essence” hitmaker through social media tirades, Wizkid has consistently maintained his silence – including this latest challenge.
As of now, Team Wizkid has yet to acknowledge or respond to Efe’s call for a celebrity boxing match.
