Grammy-winning Afrofusion star Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, has ignited debates online after addressing backlash for ejecting a couple from his Denver show over claims they were sleeping.
The situation gained traction when the affected woman spoke out, stating Burna Boy’s actions left her humiliated.
However, doubling down on his stance during a recent live session, the self-proclaimed “African Giant” dismissed concerns about losing fans, emphasizing his preference for affluent supporters.
“Nobody forced you to follow me. Right now, I want fans with deep pockets—period,” he boldly declared.
Burna Boy claps back at critics calling him out for kicking out the Colorado couple:

The artist’s unfiltered remarks have sparked renewed discussions about celebrity-fan dynamics, with critics arguing that his success hinges on loyal supporters.
Notably, this isn’t Burna Boy’s first publicized clash with fans. Earlier this year, he pushed away an overzealous concertgoer attempting to embrace him onstage.
In another instance, he reportedly asked security to remove an attendee for appearing disengaged during his set.
True to form, the singer has yet to issue apologies for any of these incidents.
