Celebrated chef Hilda Baci has extended an open invitation to Lagos locals to savor dishes from her record-breaking jollof rice feat, recently ratified by Guinness World Records.
The grand cooking marathon at Eko Hotel generated an astonishing volume of rice, with significant amounts still available despite vigorous distribution efforts.
In a heartfelt Instagram video, Baci emphasized the abundance of remaining portions, urging attendees to bring their own containers for takeaway meals.
The culinary star vowed to stay on-site until every last grain was served, passionately advocating against food waste.
She welcomed all Lagos residents to enjoy the flavorful bounty, assuring the highest quality and plentiful servings.
“We’re still boxing up meals. There’s an incredible amount left. Please, come on down and get your share—it’s too much to waste. I guarantee it’s delicious—just taste it and see. Bring your containers; we’ve got heaps remaining.
“Despite non-stop packaging, there’s still a mountain of food. I’m pleading with you—head to Eko Hotel now. It’s 6 a.m., and I’m not budging.
I’ve camped here since two days ago and won’t leave until this pot’s scraped clean and every Lagosian gets a taste. So please, come claim your portion!”
