“I served you cake at our wedding, but I chose not to kneel,” she remarked to her husband, Frank, emphasizing authenticity over tradition.

Frank, explaining the cultural significance, noted, “It symbolizes a wife’s commitment to nurturing her husband. By kneeling, you honor tradition and prepare for marital roles.”

Standing firm in her stance, Ifedayo responded, “I understand the meaning, but I won’t pretend to conform when it’s not my truth.”
