British-Nigerian boxing icon Anthony Joshua remains committed to his rehabilitation journey, sharing glimpses of his rigorous recovery process months after a devastating car crash in Nigeria.
The two-time heavyweight champion sustained severe injuries in the December 29 collision, which occurred shortly after his triumphant victory over social media star Jake Paul in their highly anticipated bout.
Tragically, the accident took the lives of two integral members of Joshua’s team—his lifelong confidant Kevin “Latz” Ayodele and trusted physiotherapist Sina Ghami, both of whom had been instrumental in shaping his championship career.
Recent Snapchat updates reveal the athlete enduring intensive physical therapy, including specialized rib treatments designed to restore his peak condition. His poignant caption read: “Healing journey. Adversity reveals the strength you never knew you possessed.”
Ayodele, affectionately called “Latz” by close associates, had been Joshua’s training partner since their teenage years, while Ghami’s expertise in sports medicine helped maintain the boxer’s world-class performance.
Despite the physical and emotional toll, Joshua persists in his recovery efforts, determined to return to championship form while honoring his fallen teammates’ legacy.
