Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez, born Emeka Akumefule, has publicly responded to allegations of harassment leveled against him by a woman who reportedly turned down his romantic advances.
Taking to his Instagram story, the artist firmly denied the accusations, describing them as baseless and part of a broader smear campaign.
The controversy stems from a legal statement issued by Bristol & Mortglass C.S., the woman’s law firm, alleging that their client endured emotional distress and persistent cyberbullying following her rejection of Blaqbonez in December 2024.
In his rebuttal, the rapper stated: “In recent days, malicious and fabricated claims about me have circulated online. These allegations are not only false but stem from a calculated effort to tarnish my reputation by certain figures within the music industry.
“For months, I’ve endured relentless bullying, physical confrontations, and digital attacks while maintaining my silence, trusting that the truth would prevail. However, remaining quiet has only allowed these lies to spread. Today, I break my silence: I am innocent.
“These accusations distort a past personal relationship that ended amicably. What was once private has been weaponized in an industry feud, repurposed as a tool to undermine my credibility.
“Personal matters have been exploited and twisted into public attacks, crafted to sabotage my career and hurt those close to me. It’s devastating to witness how falsehoods are wielded for clout and retaliation.
“I am fully cooperating with legal authorities to bring clarity to this situation. Transparency is my priority, and I have nothing to conceal. My legal team is also addressing the defamation and harassment I’ve faced.
“Integrity has always been central to my artistry, and that won’t change. The truth will emerge, and I hope this ordeal serves as a reminder of the harm caused by baseless accusations and the dangers of unchecked bullying—whether online or offline.
“I refuse to let personal vendettas or online toxicity dictate my narrative or derail my mission. The truth thrives in the light, and I stand firmly by it. To my supporters—thank you. My focus remains on my music, my well-being, and restoring my name.”
