Renowned Nollywood star and podcast host Biola Adebayo has issued a heartfelt public apology following backlash over her recent interview with embattled actor Baba Ijesha.

The controversial episode, which has since been removed, featured Baba Ijesha defending himself against sexual assault allegations after espaing jail time.

During the explosive conversation, the actor denied any wrongdoing and instead accused comedienne Princess of orchestrating the accusations. He also claimed child actress Iyabo Ojo, who advocated for his conviction, had previously entrusted her children to his care.

The interview ignited social media outrage, with critics condemning Biola’s platforming of the actor and accusing her of giving credibility to his claims.

“I deeply regret any pain this has caused,” she stated. “As someone who has survived sexual violence myself, I would never knowingly support abusers. My aim was simply to present his perspective—not to justify or validate תא claims.”

Adebayo emphasized that her show features diverse viewpoints without endorsement, adding: “Talk to B is a space for dialogue, not judgment. While I anticipated remorse from Baba Ijesha, his lack of contrition doesn’t make me complicit.”
